Overview
Digipine provides Photo Translator, an app designed to translate text from photos or text that you enter. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
Information We Collect
The app does not require an account and does not collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, advertising identifier, or payment information. The app does not include advertising or cross-app tracking.
Camera and Photos
The app requests camera access only when you choose to take a photo. The photo is used to recognize text for your requested translation. The app does not upload the photo to a developer-operated server, add it to a translation history, or save it to your photo library.
Recognized and Translated Text
Apple's Vision framework performs text recognition on your device. Recognized text, text you enter, and translated text remain within the app's current session and are not sent to a developer-operated server or retained in a developer database. Closing the app ends that in-memory session.
Apple Translation Services
Translations use Apple's Translation framework and on-device language models. Your device may download language models when needed. Apple states that it may collect Translation API usage and performance information, including the app's bundle identifier and the source and target languages, but not the original or translated content. Apple's handling of its services is governed by Apple's privacy policies.
Purchases
Apple processes in-app purchases and subscriptions through the App Store. Digipine does not receive your payment-card details. The app receives StoreKit transaction and entitlement information needed to determine whether unlimited access is active.
Sharing and Sale of Data
We do not sell, rent, or share your photos or translation content with advertisers, data brokers, or other companies. The app uses Apple system frameworks as described above to provide its core features.
Retention and Deletion
We do not maintain a server copy of your photos, recognized text, or translations, so there is no developer-held translation history to request or delete. You can replace or clear text in the app at any time, and closing the app removes the current in-memory session.
Your Choices
Camera access is optional. You can deny or revoke it in the Settings app under Privacy & Security > Camera. If camera access is disabled, you can still type text manually. You can remove downloaded translation languages through the language or translation settings provided by iOS.
Children's Privacy
The app is not directed specifically to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
The app minimizes data collection by processing photos and text on the device. No method of electronic processing is completely secure, but the app does not operate a remote account or content-storage service.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when the app's features or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
